KELANTAN " land of lightning "

Kelantan is located at the north-east coast of peninsular Malaysia facing the south china sea and covers a land area of 14922 sqkm. Kelantan also has known as " land of lightning". It is because it is a veritable treasure trove a delights.It is not also having verdant paddy fields and languid, it is also has a rusric fishing village. Kelantan also well had known as unique cultural diversity, have a white sandy beachs, waterfall and lush tropical jungle. The state capital of Kelantan that is Kota Bharu is a bustling town well. It's connected to other major towns in malaysia that serves as the center for Kelantan's administrative and business activities. Population of Kelantan is about 1.4 million; 95% is malay with chinese, indians, thai and orang asli.

Some unique of Kelantan is, its dialect. Mostly, the people from other place hard to understand their dialect. However the Kelantanese are still renowned for their warmth and friedliness. But nowadays, the dialect of Kelantan may be having accepted because every each of state in malaysia, there has a much quantity of Kelantanese.

Welcome to the world of gracious beauty. first at all, i want to introduce you about the top place of interest. you will feel lose if you are not visit the place because it is top thing to see. first destination is Gelanggang Seni (cultural centre). It is located on Jalan Mahmud closed to the Perdana Hotel. you will be more know about Kelantan when you go there because it will deminstrations of the popular folk out. you can enjoy the traditional perfomance such as wayang kulit (shadow puppetry), silat (malay out of self defense), gasing (top spinning), and also wau (kite fliying).

Then we can also have a Royal Museum or called as ( Istana Batu) which was constructed in 1939. The Royal Museum serves the history of Kelantan's royal family. You can see the regalia, pictures, furniture, and palace items of former sultans. The other history place is like world war two memorials or known as Bank Kerapu, Handicraft Village & Craft Museum, Islamic Museum and also Merdeka Square.

Then, Kelantan is also famous with the shopping arcade. Here i will recommed you a few of place that we can shop. the first one is Siti Khadijah Central Market. It is abuzz with the trading of local produce of all kinds. For women, I can say that the best view is from the third floor, where the headscarves stall holders and colors. Kelantan also have a free trade zone place. the famous is Rantau Panjang free trade zone and Pengkalan Kubur free trade zone. Rantau Panjang is famous with the thailand's product such as clothes, fruit, and also kitchen apparatus. its same goes with pengkalan kubur but the price is lower compared to Rantau panjang. The others shopping complex in town that is K.B Mall.

After we survey the interesting place and shopping arcade, I think it is not complete about Kelantan if you not enjoy the food in Kelantan. For centuries the originality of the taste made by the ancestors is not changrd. I am sure you will not forget the taste and you will dream to have it again. the first famous traditional food in Kelantan is nasi kerabu. it comes in three colors which are black, yellow and white. It is eaten with raw vegetables as well as special sambal ikan. secondly is nasi dagang. It is based on red glutinous rice and it is serves with fish curry and raw pickles. nasi dagang is a famous main menu during the hari raya aidilfitri. we also have nasi berlauk, nasi tumpang and also laksam. kelantan also well had known with the traditional kuih especially akok. Akok ingredients are eggs and gula melaka. the ithers traditional kuih is like kuih pelita, pulut panggang, dodol, lompat tikam, jala mas, and ex cetera. don't forget, we also have budu, that is based on fish and it is made into sauce. It is taken with grilled fish or meat.

Last but not least, i just want to tell you all that, there no time to lose if you visit Kelantan. a lot of interesting activities you can do in the land of lightning.
